Gina Gionfriddo’s latest play, Rapture, Blister, Burn, just opened in 2012 at Playwrights Horizons in New York City. The New York Times called it “intensely smart, immensely funny.” Gina’s Becky Shaw (2009) received equal praise—“as engrossing as it is ferociously funny” (New York Times). Gina received the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, an Obie Award, the Helen Merril Award for Emerging Playwrights, and a Guggenheim fellowship for her playwriting. She's written for both theater and television, including After Ashley, and U.S. Drag, as well as episodes for Law & Order, Cold Case, and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
